Your site was built by someone who no longer answers
It's the most common situation brought to us. A site that still works, an unreachable provider, lost credentials, and nobody daring to touch it. It can be taken over, and taken over properly.
The symptoms
This is probably you if
- You don't know where your site is hosted, or who pays the subscription.
- You don't have the credentials, or you have exactly one and daren't change it.
- The last change was two years ago, because nobody knows how any more.
- Your contact form stopped delivering, and you found out by accident.
- Your domain renews on a former provider's bank card.
Method
How we take over an existing site
The rule is simple: we change nothing until we understand everything. A botched takeover costs more than a rebuild.
Audit of the site and its credentials
We look at what actually exists: the code, the hosting, the domains, the mailboxes, the accounts. Something is almost always missing — better to find out now than during an outage.
Handover and documentation
Credentials recovered, tidied up, and the never-written parts written down: how the site is built, where it runs, how to put it back online. That document is yours.
Migration onto our infrastructure
An identical copy on a preview address, page-by-page verification, then a DNS switch with the certificate already issued. The old hosting stays intact until everything is confirmed.
Observation period — four weeks
We run the site without changing anything else. That's how long it takes for scheduled jobs, automated emails and the special cases nobody mentioned to surface.
Ongoing support
Once the site is stable and documented, we move to regular support: fixes, changes, measurement. And if you decide to leave, you leave with the code and the documentation.
And if the current site is good, we'll say so
Taking over doesn't mean rebuilding. Sometimes an existing site is perfectly fine and only needs reliable hosting and someone who answers. In that case we won't sell you a redesign: we take it as it is.
